Hi loves, I hope you had an awesome week and that the first
half of the year treated you well. Isn’t it crazy how this year just flew by?
This post is so long overdue, I mean I visited Greek
Fisherman a whole month ago! In my defence life was catapulting lemons at me, as
a self - proclaimed foodie I made that lemonade. With that being said, this one will be a short one.
I am not entirely sure whether I mentioned this in my
previous post, but I have an Entertainer app subscription. I subscribed after I
realised that I have been spending a lot on eating out and trying new restaurants.
Basically, the app lists the nearby restaurants where I can special deals like
a buy-one-get-one-free. The V&A is
one of my favourite places to visit in Cape Town, so the app is useful when I
go out with a friend. The Greek Fisherman came up while doing this search, and
I was so happy because I absolutely love seafood!
Anyway let’s get into the review shall we.
Food: For a restaurant that specialise in seafood, they
really did not disappoint. I had the seafood pasta, and it was perfect! The portion
size was gigantic, so much so that my takeaway looked like it was an entire
meal. My boyfriend went for some lamb chops - this never changes (I always try
to persuade him to try something new). Again, for a place that specialise in
seafood, the lamb chops did not disappoint. It was juicy and tender - according
to my boyfriend. For drinks he had his usual Jameson and I switched from my usual
pina - colada to a mango – colada which was absolutely refreshing and tasty.
Service: The waiter was friendly and even helped my
boyfriend choose his meal since he isn’t a big seafood fan.
Decor: I wasn’t a fan of the turquoise and orange
combination, but other than that the décor was pretty standard. They offered
throws to keep us warm, as most restaurants at the V & A does, because it
gets quite chilly.
Until my next review. X.O TUF
